Almost everyone has had the contents of their outdoor garbage cans strewn across the yard or patio. Often the culprits are raccoons. Most people can live with occasional “garbage pilfering,” but when a raccoon takes shelter in your house or other buildings, it becomes a nuisance animal removal issue.
Reeves Wildlife Removal offers fast, humane raccoon removal, repair of entry points, and any clean-up that may be needed to resolve the issue. We guarantee that we will give you the best price in the Middle Tennessee area for all raccoon removal and raccoon remediation services. And we stand by the fact that our service and experience in the area of raccoon removal are second to none.
Steps in Raccoon Removal
Trapping the raccoon(s) is the first step in raccoon removal. The second step is to repair the entry point(s). The third step is to clean up the mess and repair damages if needed.
We trap the animals by locating their entry points and funneling in traps directly over the entry point so that the raccoons have no choice but to go directly into the traps in order to get in or out of the structure.
In most cases, customers can see the traps and will know if a raccoon has been caught. For upper level entry points (such as in the attic), customers can see the traps from the outside when they look up at the roof. If the raccoons are entering at a lower area, customers can see the traps on the ground level.
Setting baited traps near the entry point is much easier, but is not nearly as effective so we highly recommend that you do not hire a company that does not funnel their traps directly over the entry points.
There is no time limit on our trapping and we will trap until the problem is resolved at no additional cost.
Repairing Raccoon Damage
After removing the raccoons we can offer you a quote on repairing the entry points. Most of our repairs are done for under $100 and come with a lifetime warranty against animal entry at the point of repair. We can also show you where the entry points are with a camera and will inspect the entire structure for any other possible entry points.
In many cases, raccoon remediation is necessary. This would include removal of the droppings and an enzyme treatment to disinfect the area. (Raccoon droppings pose health risks and should always be removed.) Remediation also includes removal of soiled or damaged insulation or vapor barrier and replacement with new insulation and or vapor barrier.
